This sculpture is made on a rock on the beach of Poreč-south (also called “naftaplin”) and is a Cross of Lorraine with an anchor. The same symbol has The Free French Sailors during WW2.
On a naval memorial in Greenock (Scotland).is the following inscription: “This Monument is Dedicated To The Memory Of The Sailors Of The Free French Naval Forces Who Sailed From Greenock In The Years 1940-1945.
A relation between this sculpture and the symbol of the Free French Naval Force is not yet found.
